Carlos Alberto Hopeful Regarding Omani Football
The Brazilian 1970 captain who led his team to glory is hoping to turn around one of the weakest Arab Gulf teams: Oman
Carlos Alberto Torres, who won the 1970 World Cup, arrived last week in the Sultanate and declared he was confident he would strengthen Omani football position. He added he has every reason to believe that he can raise the spirit of the players and to bring positive results.
Oman is now preparing for the 2002 World Cup qualifying tournament when it will face Syria, Laos and the Philippines.
