More than 200 children from the Dubai Early Children Development Center (DECDC) experienced 'Madinat KidZania®' at KidZania®, the children's edutainment centre in The Dubai Mall, courtesy of ENOC during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The initiative was part of the group's ongoing efforts to develop the mental and social skills of children with special needs and with learning disabilities. The children enjoyed traditional Ramadan activities including Arabian Nights story telling, the traditional call for suhoour and were encouraged to donate KidZos - KidZania® official money - to charity. KidZania® had transformed into 'Madinat KidZania®' during Ramadan to reflect the spirit of the Holy Month.

Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC's Group Chief Executive, said the Group's CSR strategy emphasises on special programmes that develop, encourage and integrate individuals from all walks of life with the mainstream. "We pay special attention to initiatives that help develop the skills of people with disabilities. By hosting over 200 children from Dubai Early Children Development Centre at KidZania®, we aimed at bringing joy and fun into their lives of these children while helping them to develop their mental and social faculties."

Dr. Bushra Al Mulla, Director of Dubai Early Childhood Development Centre, said: "The families and children had lots of fun through the role playing activities at Madinat KidZania®. They also learnt about the importance of charity and made jewellery as Eid gifts. At the DECDC, we focus on various activities to develop the child's abilities, and this initiative led by ENOC has succeeded in achieving our overarching objectives."

Earlier this month, ENOC and the Community Development Authority in Dubai signed a Memorandum of Understanding to empower and integrate people with disabilities into the mainstream.
