The Palestinian-American teenager who was brutally beaten by Israeli police and arrested without charges in Jerusalem was sentenced to house arrest for nine days ahead of his trial.
The U.S. has voiced concern after a 15-year-old American-Palestinian was filmed being severely beaten by Israeli police in Jerusalem. The teen has now been released from Israeli custody and is under house arrest.
Suspicions mounting that crime was carried out for nationalistic reasons, according to Israeli media reports; a gag order remains in place on the details of the investigation.

Tel Aviv doctors who conducted the autopsy of Palestinian teen Muhammad Abu Khdeir found Saturday that his cause of death was from burns. The teen's death has sparked a renewed and heightened round of tension between Israelis and Palestinians, particularly in Jerusalem where the teen was killed earlier this week.
At least 20 Palestinians were reported injured on Friday in clashes following the funeral of Palestinian teenager Muhammad Abu Khdeir, medics said.

At least 20 people were reportedly injured in clashes in Jerusalem after Palestinian teenager Muhammed Abu Khdeir's funeral was held Friday.
A bomb detonated on Friday in Egypt’s Fayoum governorate killing three, reported Al-Ahram Arabic website.
Mohammed Abu Khudair, 17-year-old Palestinian from Shuafat, was killed this morning after being kidnapped in Beit Hanina, East Jerusalem.
