Daesh (ISIS) executed four people in a city in central Libya, putting a body on display, Reuters reported Monday.
A video released on social media showed the militants shooting a man in an orange jumpsuit and leaving his body tied to a makeshift cross. Residents said the man was a member of rival Libya Dawn, an armed group backing the unrecognized government based in Tripoli.
Residents said four people total were executed. The video's authenticity was not verified by Reuters.
Sirte has become a Daesh stronghold after the extremists moved into Libya as rival factions competing for governmental power created instability in the country.
