It's high time for Africans to wake up from their slumberring. If not Africa and africans will always be victims of circumstances. It's true that the administration of Ghadafi has launched a lot of libyans into real blessings . Libyans are enjoying the profit realized from petrol etc but the fact is that Ghadafi also use this same wealth to transform his family into a paradise on earth , he bought the most expensive cars in the world , buy ships , airplanes and also lavish libya money on sophisticated weapons. Nobody is saying that Ghadafi has not taken care of the libyans , yes , he has ! but what about innocent souls killed and blood of people shed unjustly ! What soever a man soweth ,he shall reap , I think that the issue of Ghaddafi will teach a lot of lessons to some leaders .......Presidents and head of states that are transforming their nations to their personal properties should learn from Ghadaffi's issue ..........Ghaddafi must die one day as all of us will .....Nothing is ETERNAL in this world ..................Africans wake up !

Why is Seif-al –Islam afraid of facing the Libyan people and justice? Whatever they are or were stemmed from the land of Libya – their father due to advent in history came to control it and use it for his personal benefits for 40+ years. Now Seif should go back and face the truth.

Qaddafi had no formal qualifications, he and his offspring enjoyed lucrative sinecures at the agencies that dominated Libyan telecommunications, energy, real estate, construction, arms procurement, and overseas investments.

Several of the sons had advisory roles that were vaguely defined but gave them powers vastly greater than those of official government ministers

Has Seif-al –Islam forgotten the recent time when the entire family lived in owned urban villas, beach houses, and countryside retreats, and as these houses were breached looters encountered unimaginable decadence: state-of-the-art gyms, Jacuzzis, exotic cars, private zoos?
And despite Qaddafi’s long-standing claims of a modest salary and an austere Bedouin life style - instead, what people see is are private gyms, an indoor swimming pools, hairdressing salons. And a network of bombproof tunnels, built by a German companies.

Although the family patriarch banned alcohol in 1969, many of the Qaddafi children had well-stocked liquor cabinets. Aisha’s house in Tripoli had a love seat set into a gilded sculpture of a mermaid fashioned to resemble her. Seif’s house had cages for his pet white tigers. There were lacquered shopping bags from Versace, Hermès, Rado,
Cartier, La Perla. Their homes, like their father’s, had networks of tunnels, with medical clinics, furnished bedrooms, and offices, all spotlessly clean, awaiting the final retreat.

They owned or deserved nothing, but squandered it all madly – if they have any morality to themselves, the entire remaining family should face the justice in Libya, and not hide in Algiers Sheraton or with mercenaries like “rats” the term they employed for Libyan people.

Don’t they remember the time when for most people in Libya ere there was nothing to learn except the teachings of the Green Book, and slogans—lots of slogans. There were
no civil institutions, no civil society. Qaddafi and family did not leave anything behind except material and cultural destruction. They all should get what they gave to the innocent people of Libya.

(the writer is non-Libyan and non-Arab, and somebody who pursues truth and justice)
