Israeli police forces raid al Aqsa Mosque compound

Israeli police forces on Sunday raided Jerusalem's al Aqsa Mosque compound after Palestinian demonstrators pelted them with stones. According to the AP, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby conveyed police forces used stun grenades to disperse the demonstrators Sunday and arrested 12 people. There were no reports of injuries.
Ben-Ruby added police did not enter the al-Aqsa mosque.
Muslim leaders had called on Palestinians to defend the site against what they called "Jewish conquest."
