Rockets struck a protest camp in Yemen's capital Sanaa, killing at least two people on Tuesday, witnesses said.  According to Reuters, heavy shelling and machinegun fire rocked the city before dawn.

At least 56 people were killed on Sunday and Monday in clashes which took place in the capital, said doctors and witnesses. It started when demonstrators demanded an end to APresident Ali Saleh's 33-year rule.

Meanwhile, Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz met Saleh at his palace in Riyadh on Monday. The Yemeni leader thanked the monarch for the treatment he had received since he was wounded in a bombing attack some three months ago. For his part, the king expressed his wish that Yemen will overcome the current crisis, stressing the Kingdom's support of unified, secure and stable Yemen.
