Rash of Thefts Spread Across Yemenite City
A recent spate of thefts has reportedly spread across Shaqrah city in Abin governorate.
According to al Ayam daily, burglars have entered private apartments, government offices, commercial outlets and factories. The commercial outlet located in the heart of the city market and owned by Shiekh Ali Mubarak Qaruho was broken into last week. The thieves, who are still at large, took an estimated YR0.5 million in loot. On the same day, the apartment of late Awad al-Zama was broken into and robbed of YR0.25 million.
Earlier, unknown thieves got away with YR0.5 million wroth of soya oil from the Shaqrah factory warehouses. Later that day, the perpetrators raided Shaqrah water project and took with them many water pipes.(YR170=$1)
