Starbucks partners pay special visit to autistic children at Alia Early Intervention Centre
Starbucks partners spent the day with autistic children at Alia Early Intervention Centre today. The visit comes as part of Starbucks commitment to contribute positively to the community it operates within.
A team of 10 Starbucks partners visited the centre and prepared special games and activities for the children. Starbucks National Coffee Ambassador and Coffee Masters were part of the visit. Starbucks partners distributed gifts to the children that included educational books and toys.
“Starbucks worldwide is keen to help autistic children by raising awareness of the disease and helping families understand it. We are very happy to spend time with these special children and make a small difference in their lives by adding a smile to their faces,” said Antoun Abou Jaoude, Marketing Manager of Starbucks Middle East.
This is the second Starbucks initiative in Bahrain to deal with autism, after a seminar that was held last Ramadan in Starbucks Zinj store coaching partners on how best to accommodate autistic children when they visit any of Starbucks stores in the Kingdom.
