Beckham's Team GB snub still baffles Mourinho

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has said he is still baffled over soccer star David Beckham's omission from the Team GB 's football squad.
"There is something I don't understand. If now the Olympic Games are in London, it is because of Beckham. I know, because I was also inside of that project," the Daily Mirror quoted Mourinho, as saying.
"It's because of Sebastian Coe and other people, but he was the most important face of that project. I don't understand why he is not playing. I cannot understand. He is one of the best football professionals. I'm so sorry he's not there," he added.
Mourinho claimed that it was unfortunate for the LA Galaxy star to have missed out on Olympic glory, as he was in the last years of his career.
Former Manchester United star Beckham said he respected Mourinho's sentiments.
"Jose is an exceptional manager and an amazing human being as well. He was one of the first people to call me after I ruptured my Achilles. He kept in touch with me. It makes him a great human being," he said. (ANI)

he was ,rightly , not picked because it would have then have become team beckham instead of team GB......beckham is a spent force and simply not good enough anymore, if he ever was!...the most over-rated footballer that ever lived, all he cares about is himself, so he went abroad staying at top hotels and was treated like a god by sad people who were probably doing backward somersaults to please him, and then the beckham loving media say he won us the olympics!!!! we were always gonna get the olympics ,no-one else could afford it!!!
the sooner beckham retires the better ,sick and tired of him!
