Ivan Ukhov of Russia won the Olympic gold medal Tuesday in the high jump.

Erik Kynard of the United States took the silver. There was a three-way tie for third so bronze medals went to Mutaz Essa Barshim of Qatar, Derek Drouin of Canada and Robert Grabarz of Britain.
