Mourinho brands Ronaldo as 'know-it-all, bighead'
Although Ronaldo took his goal scoring exploits to new heights under Mourinho, who quit Real to rejoin Chelsea, Mourinho has admitted that they did not always see eye to eye, the Daily Star reports.
Explaining why his relationship with his compatriot broke down towards the end of his Madrid reign, Mourinho, who spent three seasons working with Ronaldo at the Bernabeu, said that when he criticized Ronaldo in order to improve his game, Ronaldo did not take it well.
Stating that the player probably thought that he does not need any further training from the coach, Mourinho however, said that Ronaldo had three fantastic seasons with him, although he added that he is not sure if they were the best of his career as the Portuguese also had a great career at Manchester United.
According to Mourinho, he felt that he and Real had created a fantastic situation for Ronaldo tactically, in which he could express all his potential and turn that into records and goals.
Although speculation remains rampant about whether Ronaldo will stay at Real, but Madrid president Florentino Perez, who is desperate to pair Ronaldo with Gareth Bale next season, insisted that he is not for sale at any price, saying that they will win a 10th European title with him. (ANI)
