Ronaldo prepared for Man Utd return?
According to the Daily Star, the Portuguese forward, who was sold to Real for a world-record 80 million pounds four years ago, had told a senior player at Old Trafford that he would seriously consider that proposition.
The report further said that Ronaldo's disclosure comes as a pleasant surprise to the Red Devils fans, whose hopes have already been boosted by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's insistence that he will have the backing of the club's owners - the Glazer family - to make a major splash in this summer's transfer window.
However, the report added that there are persistent rumours that United is trying to buy back Ronaldo, who is also wanted by wealthy French side Paris Saint Germain, for 65 million pounds and overcome obvious financial hurdles by having his wages sponsored.
This fact has been given more strength with Ferguson's admittance that it would be difficult to bring back Ronaldo even though he is in favour of bringing the player back to the club this season, as there could be more chance of signing him at the end of next season since he has two years remaining on his contract at the Bernabeu.
United, who is also in the market for a centre back and want Borussia Dortmund's in-demand striker Robert Lewandowski, are also eyeing Ronaldo's Real teammate, winger Angel Di Maria, the report added. (ANI)
