Egyptian actress Hanan Turk refused comment on the campaign launched by a group of people on the social network "Facebook" requesting her to take off the Hijab, Islamic headdress.
A campaign was launched on Facebook asking Hanan to take
off the Hijab and return to acting without it. The campaign gave rise to heated
debates between people who supported and others that opposed.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Hanan said
that she refuses to make comment regarding the campaign and stated that it is a
topic that is not worth wasting her time talking about.
Recently, Hanan welcomed the idea of cooperating with a production company established by the Egyptian by the Muslim Brotherhood. The actress stressed that what makes her accept or reject a project is not the production company, but rather if the role she is nominated for will contribute to her career or not.
