Laila Elwi takes blame off Lebanese and Syrian actresses

Prominent Egyptian actress Laila Elwi revealed that the
reason behind her taking part in only one project a year is due to the lack of
good scripts. Laila stated that many of the offers she receives to star in are
not tempting enough and do not add any significance to her career.
The actress stated that she does not mind having actresses
from Syria, Lebanon and Morocco star in Egyptian dramas and films and stressed
that they are not behind her not starring in numerous projects. Laila said that
foreign actresses are not stripping Egyptian actresses from roles in dramas and
films.
With regards to her new film “Farah Laila” (Laila’s joy),
the actress said that the film is still in its initial stages and the delay in
filming the scenes is due to the fact that she along with the remaining cast is
preoccupied with other projects that hold more priority.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Laila noted that
the film is a light comedy and she feels it will meet the satisfaction of her
fans. The actress revealed that she is always seeking new roles that are
different from ones she played in the past.
