Abu Dhabi University showcases its portfolio of Bachelor & Masters programmes at GETEX 2011
Aimed at providing a comprehensive overview on a wide portfolio of programmes to prospective students, Abu Dhabi University (ADU) is participating at GETEX 2011, the Middle East and Asia’s leading education, training and professional development event.
During the exhibition, ADU will present its academic programmes that include 30 majors in the undergraduate and post-graduate degrees. GETEX 2011 will be held from 14-16 April 2011 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, ADU Chancellor said; “ADU strives for excellence in delivering quality education in the UAE and contributes to the policy agenda of the Government of Abu Dhabi and its Economic Vision 2030. Participating in important exhibitions such as GETEX, as well as other exhibitions for education and training, is one of our tools to keep students abreast with the latest programmes and activities at ADU.”
He added that the university is keen to participate at GETEX every year as it offers an opportunity to highlight the integrated system of courses and other disciplines of studies at ADU addressing the needs of the labour market in the coming years. “We considered this event as venue of bridging the communication between the university and the community to reinforce ADU’s commitment towards enhancing the knowledge and skills of the students in the UAE,” he said.
ADU Pavilion is hosting a number of specialists from the University’s Admissions and Registration Department including other representatives to answer all the visitors’ questions and concerns with regard to ADU standards. Interested visitors can also meet with any ADU faculty to advise them on programmes most suited to their interest, skills and career options.
Amira Al Masri, Associate Director of Admission and Outreach said; “The University has started receiving applications from high schools students wishing to enrol in the academic year 2011-2012. There are faculty members at our campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain who can provide counselling services to students who seek various prospects that ADU offers.”

The dream began with the Charter of Abu Dhabi University in the year 2000, After three years of planning, the university opened its doors in September 2003, to an entering class of 1,000 students on its two campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Unlike other colleges and universities in the UAE, ADU undertook the measures necessary to ensure that all of the degree programs it would offer had secured accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in advance of any students enrolling in them.
