Al ‘Ayed inaugurate the activities of Jordan Festival for Arab Media and visits GAM ward

Deputizing for Prime Minister, Sameer Al-Rifa'i, Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communication, Ali Al-'Ayed, inaugurated the activities of the Jordan Festival for Arab Media (JFAM) which is attended by prominent media and communication figures, and representatives of Arab Media.

In his key note speech, Al-'Ayed said that the Festival is meant to inspire Arab Media into more advancement and development, which should respond to the communication standard and ambition. He added that the modern techniques and methods to be discussed in the three coming days shall be well received by the media representatives, as this gives them the opportunity to keep pace with the recent technological developments in the world of media.

The three day Jordan Festival for Arab Media includes a TV and radio dramatic competition; and, for the first time ever, there will be a news website competition. According to the Director of Audiovisual Commission, and Chairman of the Festival's High Committee, Dr. Amjad Al-Qadi, the Festival is meant to build bridges between media cities, and TV and radio stations, in addition to forging a clear imprint that should define media methods and methodology.

It is worth mentioning that the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has participated in the Festival, through the Rapid Bus Transit Project (RBT), which aims at laying the foundation stone for a modern transport network, comprising a metro, and a rapid bus, in addition to buses and "service" taxis.

Hawa Amman Broadcasting Station of GAM has participated in the Festival via a documentary narrating the development of Amman, and the construction and urbanization stages it has gone through.
