ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based institution dedicated to high-quality and value-based education, emphasized the importance of fostering respect and harmony across all cultures and nationalities during its 5th International Day held recently at the University’s Male and Female Campuses.
University faculty, staff, and students delivered presentations and showcased exhibitions, artefacts and traditional dishes from several countries and cultures. Among the countries represented were Algeria, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, North America and the UAE. The activities took place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and were open to the general public. ALHOSN’s 5th International Day reflects the institution’s support for the UAE’s openness to world cultures and the country’s commitment to upholding progressive and forward-thinking national development.
“It is very inspiring to see our students, faculty and staff come together and celebrate in unison the diverse backgrounds of ALHOSN’s community members. Many of the world’s problems can be easily addressed via a more tolerant and supportive attitude from its inhabitants. ALHOSN’s International Day serves as a reminder that we must learn to live and work cohesively if we want to achieve our individual and shared goals,” said Ms. Ghada Qabha, Director of Students Affairs, ALHOSN University.
