ALHOSN University identifies academic needs of Fujairah students

ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality value-based education, assessed how its programs could meet the academic needs of Fujairah-based students during the Fujairah Elite & Academic Education Exhibition which ran from April 17 to 19, 2011 at the Fujairah Exhibition Centre. 

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, the expo provided a platform to introduce local students to the programs offered by top universities, colleges and training institutes in the Emirates. ALHOSN University took this opportunity to discuss how its curricula, developed in collaboration with leading North American educational institutions, impart ‘global knowledge with local vision’ to youths. University representatives also talked about the importance of holistic learning, citing ALHOSN’s various community outreach and social development initiatives. 

“The exhibition enabled us to gain valuable insights on the conditions and needs of Fujairah students and how our particular educational philosophies and academic programs can help them live up to their potential. The event also served as an excellent venue for sharing best practices and helpful information with our fellow educational institutions. We received very positive feedback from attendees and we look forward to welcoming many of Fujairah’s students to our community. The Fujairah Elite & Academic Education Exhibition was attended by representatives from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Education, the Government of Fujairah’s Council for Education Care and Academic Affairs, and the Fujairah Education Zone. It was organized by Tomouh Advertising, Exhibitions & Conferences Organizing Company. 

 ALHOSN University was founded by the Abu Dhabi Holding Company and named after the famous ALHOSN Palace in Abu Dhabi. The university’s 11 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs under the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Business, and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences are open to students of all nationalities. All of ALHOSN’s academic programs were co-developed with prominent North American educational institutions.
