American firms eye Middle East automotive aftermarket
Increasing awareness among US companies about the burgeoning automotive aftermarket in the Middle East, is the prime driver behind the largest ever participation by American firms in Automechanika Middle East.
According to event organiser Epoc Messe Frankfurt, Automechanika Middle East will see over 40 exhibitors from the US, an increase of 46% from 2010.
There has been greater awareness of the potential of the Middle East aftermarket in the US, which is home to a number of leading international players,” said Mr. Ahmed Pauwels, Chief Executive Officer of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “With Automechanika Middle East gaining recognition by the U.S. Commercial Services Trade Fair Certification Programme, the exhibition, which is the leading automotive aftermarket trade and networking event in the region, has significantly increased its profile and presence in the North American market,” he added.
Automechanika Middle East 2011, which will run from June 7 to 9, 2011 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, will see leading American companies participating, including: Diesel Parts of America, Keystone Automotive Operations Inc, Mustang Dynamometer, Treatment Products Ltd, Cardone Industries, Walker Products Inc, Grant Piston Rings, Tire Group International Inc, Auto Strategies International Inc and Firestone Industrial Products, to name a few.
Julian Blackwell, European Sales & Marketing Director, Firestone Industrial Products, said: “Automechanika Middle East provides Firestone Industrial Products with the opportunity to share the latest information on our new line of truck cab springs. We are also actively seeking new direct distributors for the Middle Eastern countries. By exhibiting, we reinforce our dedicated efforts to serve the worldwide needs of the heavy-duty industry.”
He added: “The automotive aftermarket in the Middle East is a growing market with a majority of the vehicles from European manufacturers. Firestone has an extensive range of air springs for vehicles made on all continents so we have more choices to fulfill Middle Eastern product requirements.”
Jeff A. Victor, Vice President, Treatment Products Ltd., said: “Treatment Products Ltd has been selling its cleaners, waxes and polishes in the Middle East for many years. This market is an important part of our strategy for growth, and our products have gained a great following over the years.”
He added: “Middle East consumers have come to expect and demand the type of quality products that come from US manufacturers, and we are proud to have built a great consumer base in countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman and others. Exhibiting at Automechanika Middle East is an important part of our strategy for introducing our products to new customers, and strengthening our relationships with existing customers.”
Automechanika Middle East 2011 will feature the best of workshop equipment, tyres & tubes, batteries, parts & systems, repair & maintenance and accessories & tuning industries.
