American University of Sharjah to provide leadership training to DP World executives

DP World UAE Region today, January 24, signed an agreement with American University of Sharjah (AUS), under which AUS will provide advanced training in leadership to management executives of the premier port operator.
The partnership deal was signed by Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World UAE Region, and Dr. Peter Heath, Chancellor, AUS, at a function attended by Mohammed Ali Ahmed, Director for Strategy Planning, Human Resources & Business Support, DP World UAE Region, Dr. Thomas Hochstettler, AUS Provost, Dr. Nada Mourtada-Sabah, Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Affairs, Dr Malcolm Richards, Dean of the School of Business Management, and senior officials and academics.
The signing of the agreement was followed by an exchange of mementos and a tour of the university campus, including an inspectetion of the facilities at the AUS School of Business and Management.
The partnership provides for a group of 45 Emirati executives to be given intensive training in advanced management as part of the port operator’s Leadership Development Program, which is aimed at preparing them for potential corporate leadership roles in the future.
The 15-course program, which will run through February and March, is tailored to provide the participants with a greater breadth and depth of knowledge about DP World’s core business and equip them with holistic management skills.
