At a lunch held today at the Regency Intercontinental Hotel, members and guests of the Bahrain British Business Forum (BBBF) were given a presentation by Tamkeen’s Vice President - Enterprise & Human Capital Development, Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, on Tamkeen’s various programs to boost the private sector and make Bahrainis the employees of choice, uner the title “Partners in Prosperity.” The meeting was hosted by Mr. Khalid Al Zayani, BBBF Chairman, and was also attended by Mr. Rupert Potter, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy Bahrain.

“Tamkeen’s programs are not just for enterprises that are Bahraini owned,” commented Dr. Al Shaikh in his presentation. “Foreign organisations that employ Bahrainis are also eligible for our support schemes in both up-skilling their labour force through our Human Capital Development arm, and developing their business through our Private Sector Support programs. Tamkeen works under the philosophy that the future for Bahrainis is not created for them, but by them, and we are giving individuals and organisations the tools to make their own success.”

The BBBF now has over 400 members, and offers business networking and social meetings. Membership is open to all nationalities and organisations on an individual or corporate level. For more information please contact the BBBF office on 17813488.
