In a recent statement of world renowned YOO by Starck in the process of establishing the prestigious ‘G Tower’ in the emirate of Dubai, representatives revealed that they were somewhat apprehensive before entering into the GCC property market despite high expectations ultimately.

YOO, the brainchild of designer Philippe Starck and property developer John Hitchcox, recently made its first venture into the GCC through a partnership with Galadari Investment Office (GIO), according to Khaleej Times.

Through the partnership, the much anticipated G Tower project was launched, with YOO by Starck providing concept design for the structure’s as well as landscaping the pool area.

"Dubai is undoubtedly one of the world's fastest growing and therefore most fascinating cities," said John Hitchcox, Chairman of YOO, while many experts maintain that the proejct “raises the bar” for property and real estate in the Middle East region. YOO thus far has designed properties in New York City, London, Sydney, Buenos Aries, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv, Toronto, Copenhagen and Miami. The G-Tower and YOO by Starck is the first branded residential tower in the region.

“GIO aims to redefine the very concept of luxury in the Middle East, offering people access to a level of style and elegance previously unheard of. Teaming up exclusively with the likes of Philippe Starck and John Hitchcox is an illustration of our commitment to that objective,” said Rashid A W Galadari, Chairman of GIO.
