The Cityscape Dubai 2006 Conference, which is taking place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) on 4-6 December, attracts the most significant investors and developers as well as acclaimed architects and designers in the world. To underscore their market position, Cityscape Dubai has now announced that Ivanka Trump, VP of Development & Acquisitions for the Trump Organization has agreed to speak at the event, in addition to Ivanka’s brother, Donald Trump Jr., who had previously confirmed he would deliver the key opening address.

A guest of Nakheel Hotels, Ivanka is in town to further the rapid overseas expansion of the Trump Organization and will be part of a panel discussing ‘Emerging Trends: New Brands, New Names, New Ideas’. The session will examine the booming regional markets, the major players, their strategies and the risks associated with large scale hotel & resort developments. Other panel members include, Russell Kett, MD of HVS International – London Office, Sunil Gomes, VP Development, Nakheel Hotels & Resorts and Philippe Baretaud, Development Director for Accor M.E.

“The emerging real estate markets in the Middle East are unique in that oil-rich governments are applying their huge budget surpluses to infrastructure projects that both drive and diversify their economies. This helps to eliminate boom-bust cycles and provides attractive investment opportunities,” claimed Ivanka Trump.

During his keynote speech, Donald Trump Jr. will convey the complex strategies required to attract high net-worth investors, an issue some analysts predict as crucial to the long-term aspirations of the Middle East property market. Property market growth in most mature markets such as the US and Australasia are now experiencing a cooling down period. In contrast the property markets in the Middle East continue to boom.

Other hot industry topics on the conference agenda include, driving real estate investment, major trends in international real estate markets and a focus on finance and investment. New to this year’s conference is a series of industry specific presentations covering residential real estate, retail dimensions, hotels, commercial and office space and the marketing aspects of real estate. Sessions will also focus on China and India and the real estate prospects for two of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Other eminent speakers invited to address these critical industry issues include amongst others, Mounir D. Haidar, CEO, Sorouh Real Estate; Shehab Gargash, Managing Director, Damam Securities; Nidal Abdulmajeed Jamjoom, CEO, Emaar – The Economic City and Mohammed Al Tawash, Vice Chairman & President, RealCAPITA.

“Cityscape Dubai 2006 is the world’s largest property investment and development event. The fact that both Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump have agreed to participate on the conference agenda, in addition to a host of other regional and international experts, is indicative of that status,” commented Shabnam Rawal, Group Conference Director, Cityscape.
