A $100 million pipe plant set up in Dammam

The Aziz Contracting and Services company recently signed a $100 million contract to establish a gas and oil pipe manufacturing factory in Dammam, according to Al-Hayat daily.  

 

The company chairman of the board, Saleh Hamadi, stated that the factory, to be named Aziz-Europe Pipes, would be established in cooperation with the Forest Companies Group, which will control 23 percent of the project.  

 

The plant is set to produce 120,000 tons of pipes during the second half of 2002, an output which is to double by 2003. A portion of this quantity will be locally consumed, while the rest will be exported to the other GCC states, the rest of the Middle East region and Asia. ― (MENA Report)
