According to <i>Al-Fourat</i> newspaper, the General Education Department in the Iraqi Misan Province announced that it had received financings from the Immigrants Department to build 14 schools in different villages in the province.
The education department added that the funding came from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Relief Organization. The department added that the future projects in the province will include the health, municipal and electricity sectors. The Misan Province is the poorest region in Iraq, with an area of over 16,000 km2 and a population of over 750,000.
