With 33 percent rise in credit card users, Turkey’s Kocfinans issues new smart cards

The Turkish financial services provider, Kocfinans, recently announced its issuance of smart cards. The cards are in fact credit cards providing installment possibilities of up to 24 months. Smart card holders may use them in the Migros chain of shops throughout the country. 

 

According to a survey of MasterCard, 33 percent of the Turkish Internet users prefer to pay with credit cards in online trade. According to a survey, 65 percent of the users consider the banks to be reliable in keeping their private financial information secured.  

 

Vestel, Turkey's largest television and monitor manufacturer, part of the Zorlu Group, plans to issue Vestel Gold Card together with MasterCard and Denizbank of Turkey. The new credit card is to provide its holders with all MasterCard services, in addition to 18-month installments for Vestel products. The number of Vestel Gold Card subscribers is expected to reach 150,000. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
