3M to set up high-tech facility at TechnoPark

TechnoPark, the science and technology facilitator of Economics Zones World has announced that it will be home to a Hi-Tech manufacturing facility for 3M, a global Fortune 500 company.

 

A long-term lease agreement on a 40 thousand square metre property in TechnoPark was signed by Hamad Al Hashemi, Managing Director of TechnoPark and Irfan Malik, Regional Managing Director of 3M in the presence of Salma Hareb, CEO of Jafza and Economic Zones World.

 

After the signing, Salma Hareb said: “We are delighted to welcome such a respected global company to TechnoPark. 3M’s business is essentially rooted in applied research and innovation across several sectors. This is the same ideology we have adopted at TechnoPark by creating a modern advanced business environment that fosters growth in industries and the economy. The new 3M facility will be well positioned to serve its vast customer base in the region and complements our vision to become a regional and global technology hub.”

Hamad Al Hashemi, Managing Director of TechnoPark stated: “Our core competencies are to facilitate technology–related research and production by providing a favorable environment for innovative solutions and advancements in technologies and human capacity development particularly in the country's core economic sectors including oil and gas and energy”.
