A report recently publicized by the Qatari Planing Council revealed that the number of the operating industrial enterprises in the State of Qatar amounts to 2,349, reported Al-Raya newspaper. 1,955 of these enterprises employ less than 10 employees. The report also showed that 2,349 of the total industrial enterprises, which are equivalent to 99 percent, are privately held companies.
In addition, the report estimated the total product value of the local industrial sectorat QR 16,554 million. The net product value of the local industrial sector hit QR 12,277 million, excluding the depreciation expenses. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
