One of the major attractions at the 9th Islamic Trade Fair is the sizable national pavilion of Turkey. Some 32 prominent companies dealing in different product categories will be present at the Turkish pavilion.
“Turkey has one of the strongest manufacturing bases in the Middle East, and has emerged as a supplier of high quality, competitively priced products to the European Union. At the coming 9th Islamic Trade Fair, companies who are already regular suppliers to the EU will be looking to expand their activities in the Middle East and other Islamic nations,” said Director Marketing and Sales of Expo Centre Sharjah, Michael Muller.
The varied product categories of the participating Turkish companies include textile and readymade garments, interior décor, agriculture products anf foodstuffs, steel industry and metal products, handicrafts, food processing technology, furniture, building materials, auto parts, accessories, sport equipment and furniture, electrical equipment and software.
Besides Turkey, the show also features national pavilions from various other countries including Algeria, Bahrain, Brunei, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The show was inaugurated by Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al-Qassimi on December 21. The event was organized by Al-Qassimi in co-operation with the UAE Ministry of Economy and Commerce and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industries and with the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce & Industry. — (menareport.com)
