In order to further consolidate its lead in Saudi Arabia and stimulate rapid growth in the United Arab Emirates in notebook PC sales, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. has launched a new family of notebooks featuring a stylish Folio design, targeted at the home, SMB and the corporate market.
Having maintained its sales lead in Saudi Arabia for the third consecutive quarter, with 22.7 per cent market share, Acer announced that the company is well poised to overcome the 0.2 per cent gap between it and the UAE’s number one notebook vendor, with the introduction of the new Folio range.
Designed to look like a Folio, notebooks within the new range are light, slim and easy-to-carry, featuring an inventive non-slip carry-grip, latchless magnetic closing and Acer’s unique Empowering Key (eKey) for quick access to management functions.
The SignalUp wireless enhancement, featuring a built-in antenna on top of the LCD panel, creates an omni-directional signal that extends the range, allowing the user to enjoy greater notebook mobility.
“Breaking the barrier between people and technology has always been Acer’s long-term mission, enabling customers to experience and benefit from the freshest technologies,” said Philip Ashkar, director of sales and marketing, Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd. “With the revolutionary Folio concept, our position in the regional market will be stronger than ever and over the next few months we expect to increase our market share significantly across the region.”
“With pure functional simplicity, smooth curves and subtle elegance, our Folio notebooks blend in effortlessly with home and business environments, while the eKey enables users to operate their notebooks in the smartest and most productive way,” he added. (menareport.com)
