The Middle East regional director of the Acer Computer Company, Eric Tin, stated that he predicts a 40 percent increase in the company’s computer sales for this year, compared to last year. The Acer company is currently placed third in the region in terms of computer sales, following IBM and Compaq.
Tin announced that his company is greatly interested in the local markets and, therefore, invests $50 million in them annually, as reported by Al-Bayan newspaper.
In addition, Acer has recently allocated 10 million dirhams (Dh) to build an office complex in the Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone. The regional director added that his company is presently evaluating a proposal to relocate its headquarters to the new Dubai Internet City. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
