PC vendors Acer is entering into a marketing alliance with StorIT Distribution, a Middle East digital storage infrastructure company. Under the deal, StorIT will distribute Acer's network and storage server technology across the region and build Acer products into its service offerings.
The marketing alliance means that Acer's server product line will be distributed across the Middle East through StorIT's reseller network, which has a membership of over 500 value-added resellers and systems integrators.
The two companies will partner on shared marketing campaigns and co-operate to educate the re-seller network about the financial and business benefits of using Acer servers. In addition, StorIT will have a dedicated team selling the Acer server product line across the region.
StorIT has plans to become a full service provider in 2003, so that it serves the customer at the point of sale and provides ongoing services and repairs. Aligning with Acer increases the range and depth of products and services it can offer customers. — (menareport.com)
