Acer Computer Middle East has launched a new program giving its technology users free service for their personal computers (PCs), regardless of whether they are currently under warranty. The unprecedented regional initiative is called the Acer Care Camp, and is being rolled-out across the Middle East in partnership with Acer's Authorized Service Provider community.
"The overall Information Technology (IT) sector is now recovering from a slowdown and Acer sees this as an ideal time to reach out to our regional end-user and partner community through this unique program," said Suhas Bartar, director of customer services division at Acer Computer (M.E.) Ltd.
The Acer Care Camp program already conducted in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait earlier this year has been a huge success with current and potential customers showing up to avail this free service opportunity.
The Acer Care Camp in UAE will be conducted in cooperation with Acer's Authorized Service Providers—which include SMB Computers, CompuME, KIT, Emirates Computers, Cosmos Micro Computer Center, and Jumbo Electronics—and will last for three days, September 16-18, 2002.
Under this new program, Acer's end-users can take their PC units, regardless of warranty status, to Acer's nominated Authorized Service Provider for a host of service options. These offers include: diagnosing hardware problems, addressing software cases related to pre-loaded operating systems, consultation on virus prevention amongst a host of other free services. Acer will also provide spare parts at concessional prices during this program. — (menareport.com)
