Arezki Ouyahia, a senior figure in the personnel union of commercial traffic in Algeria has announced a hunger strike, according to Algerian press sources. He is supported in his move by the autonomous union and also the UGTA union. Ouyahia is principally protesting the uncertainty and discontent which has typified members of his union in the past few weeks.
The unionist said that the action is in the ultimate interest of flyers and customers to secure better working conditions for the future.
