Alcatel completes telecom infrastructure at Grand Hyatt Dubai

French telecommunication giant Alcatel has announced the completion of their contract at Grand Hyatt, Dubai. The contract involved Alcatel, handled exclusively by Al-Futtaim Telecom, part of the Electronics business of the Al-Futtaim Group, installing the complete telecommunications infrastructure at the hotel.  

 

Including Alcatel OmniPCX 4400 voice communications server, hospitality specific telephone handsets for the guestrooms, radio paging systems, walkie-talkie systems and a management system from FCS, Grand Hyatt, Dubai has been fitted with the most up-to-date communications technology.  

 

The partnership between Alcatel and Grand Hyatt, Dubai also involves a 24x7 maintenance contract covering spare parts and labor. It has also made it possible to seamlessly interconnect the existing Hyatt Regency Dubai System to provide transparent functionality between the two sites. The call center, implemented by Al-Futtaim Telecom on the Hyatt Regency Dubai System, allows Gulfwide reservation calls to be handled through this network link. — (menareport.com)
