Algeria and Angola signed an outline agreement Sunday, April 22, covering cooperation in the field of energy, officials said. The agreement was signed Algerian Minister for Energy and Mines Chakib Khelil and his Angolan counterpart Jose Maria Botelho de Vasconcelos.
Khelil said the deal covers oil and gas exploration and electricity production. "As well as the projects identified by the agreement, we can add others such as rural electrification projects and mining projects," he said. —(AFP)
