Algerian Cell-Phone Subscribers Benefit From New Service

Algerian cell-phones may be busier, as subscribers are introduced to a new phone service. 

 

The Algerian Post and Telecommunications Authority introduced a new service known as "Roaming GSM International", which will afford cell-phones an opportunity to place oversea phone calls.  

 

This service was established in cooperation with the French France Telecom, the Algerian Daily Horizons reported. A similar deal was consummated been between the Algerian authorities and Qatar telecommunications corporation (Q-TEL). Algerian sources indicated that plans are underway to extend this service to other nations.
