ALBAWABA- With CD Projekt RED's upcoming Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC and free 2.0 patch right down the alley, this article will cover many things including everything that will rework a big part of Cyberpunk 2077's vanilla experience.

Phantom Liberty and the 2.0 patch is CD Projekt RED's answer to Cyberpunk 2077's shaky release on Dec. 10, 2020, since the game was released with bugs and performance issues all over the place leaving a sour taste in gamers' mouths.

While 2.0 is a free patch for the game, Phantom Liberty will cost well worth $30 since it will include a new questline, area, guns, cars, gigs, and quality-of-life fixes.

What's coming to the free 2.0 patch?

Revamped skill tree for perks

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

CD Project RED is revamping the whole perk system with new skill trees adding quality-of-life options and a total of nine perks to enhance their cybernetic abilities. This looks clearer and more functional than the previous skill tree.

The new perks will go hand in hand with Cyberpunk's new weapon line-up and will focus on more individual playstyles.

Upcoming perks include:

  • Bladerunner - fancy new finishing move.
  • Bullet Deflect - deflect bullets with your Katana!
  • Opportunist - gory instakills.
  • Air Dash - from its name, V will be able to dash mid-air.
  • Savage Sling - finishing move that allows V to throw enemies at other enemies using melee weapons.
  • Pull! - Distract enemies with a bomb and follow up with other perks like Deadeye.
  • Deadeye - forward dash that adds precision.

New police system (no more teleporting police)

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

CD Projekt Red has finally listened to the player base and confirmed that they revamped Cyberpunk's police system by adding a five-star police system similar to Rockstar's GTA franchise.

Cops will now have the ability to yell at players who hurt their partners, chase them, and call for backup.

UI and UX improvements

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk 2077's UI was slightly confusing for some players and looked a bit messy as well so it's great to hear that CD Projekt Red has improved all its UI and UX elements in 2.0 and Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty.

Also coming in 2.0:

  • Revamped cyberwar
  • Combat AI improvements
  • Quality of life changes
  • Vehicle combat and car chases
  • New radio stations
