ALBAWABA - In a surprising development that merges technology and automotive retail, Amazon, the global e-commerce giant, has announced a collaboration with South Korean automaker Hyundai.

This partnership is set to empower dealers to sell cars directly through Amazon's online platform starting in the upcoming year.

As we approach 2024, several Hyundai dealers are poised to join the Amazon platform, marking a pioneering move in the industry. Previously, customers could explore showrooms and compare prices on the website, but the actual purchase of a car was not facilitated online.

Customers will soon have the ability to browse a variety of car models on Amazon's website, make purchases using their preferred payment methods, and then opt for either dealership pickup or home delivery. This shift reflects the evolving landscape of consumer preferences, emphasizing the convenience and adaptability associated with online transactions.

Despite this transformation, it's crucial to note that the dealership remains the final point of sale for the cars, with Amazon serving as the intermediary between consumers and dealerships. The extent to which Amazon is engaging in discussions with other car manufacturers to broaden the selection on its platform remains uncertain.
