Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited is running a variety of Summer 2004 promotions with 18 of the Kingdom's leading retailers and service establishments. Lasting for three months from mid-May to mid-August, the promotion period coincides with the summer shopping season, a popular time for residents and visitors to take advantage of the many attractive bargains available.

The exclusive special offers are designed to provide added value for American Express Cardmembers and increased sales for merchants. The promotion follows the success of previous activities that have proved to be highly popular.

The promotions provide Cardmembers with a wide choice to meet their everyday needs. Participating partners are considered among the leading retailers in the Kingdom and include Rubaiyat, Paris Gallery, Mohammed Othman Al Moallim (Al Moallim Jewellery, Coach and Bodum) Zahid-Trec, (Benetton-Zahid, Lifestylez and Reebok-Zahid), City Plaza, Marks & Spencer, Sports City, Karen Millen, Bakhashwain, SACO, Patchi, Papermoon, Samsung-United Matbouli Group, CompuMe, Elaf Travel & Tourism and Avis Hala Rent a Car.

The special offers and promotions range from up to 37% discount on car rentals, up to 30% discount of clothing, jewelry and home accessories, buy-two-and-get-one-free offers, special package deals on home electronics and travel, free gifts, and free American Express Travelers Cheques.

"American Express has an ongoing program of benefits with promotions timed for Cardmembers to make the most of Saudi Arabia's traditional and seasonal shopping periods," said Mazin Khoury, Chief Executive Officer, Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited. "For Summer 2004 we have arranged a variety of very attractive offers that range from discounts to complimentary American Express Travelers Cheques and, of course, Blue Cardmembers continue to get their 1% MoneyBack while other Cardmembers qualify for their Membership Rewards points as an extra advantage."

In the five years since Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited was established with headquarters in Riyadh, the company has been able to bring a unique local touch to its operations, with products and services that are tailored to the needs of customers and merchants in the Kingdom. Mazin Khoury went on to say: "Our local presence gives us invaluable insight through daily contact with our Cardmembers and the establishments where they shop and spend, enabling us to continuously monitor market trends and respond to seasonal changes in demand."
