Arab Bank, one of the biggest banks in the Arab world, is this week to open its ninth branch in Morocco, consolidating its presence in the north African country, bank officials said Sunday.
The new branch will be opened in the tourist resort of Agadir, in the south of the country.
Arab Bank already has branches in Morocco's economic capital Casablanca, and in Tangiers, Fez, Marrakesh and Agadir.
"Our banking activities in Morocco are growing rapidly and the number of financial transactions between Morocco and some countries, especially in the Gulf, are increasing each year," the director of Arab Bank-Maroc, Salaheddine Haroune, told AFP.— (AFP)
