Pharmaceuticals distribution firm Arabian Ethicals has signed a 350 million Emirati dirham ($95,289 million) contract with New Technology Systems (NTS), the software development arm of Intertec Systems group, for the automation of its sales force and warehouse operations.

A detailed study of the project's requirements has already been conducted and development and implementation of the NTS system, based on the company's leading NTS Financials system, is expected to be complete in five months. General Manager of Arabian Ethicals, Nabil Abdalla, believes the new system will give the multimillion-dollar company a distinct advantage in an extremely competitive market.

NTS Financials will transform the current paper-based processes by integrating the latest GPRS handheld terminals for sales force automation and RF-based handheld terminals to automate warehouse operations at Arabian Ethicals. The NTS system will assist the salesperson in checking availability of stocks. Based on orders received, stocks can be quickly identified in its physical location, then collected and dispatched.

The system will also enable the effective management of damaged goods or products past their expiration date. The solution will result in superior and efficient service to Arabian Ethicals’ customers, along with a better management of inventory in the company's warehouses.

Arabian Ethicals was established in Dubai in 1977. Today the multimillion-dollar company is an established wholesale agent in the Gulf region. It distributes for many well-know multinational manufacturers specializing in a wide range of pharmaceutical, consumer, veterinary and medical supplies and equipment. — (menareport.com)
