United Arab Emirates (UAE) fish farming company Asmak reported a 650 percent revenue increase for the first half of 2003 compared to figures from the same period last year, revealed a company statement.
According to General Manager Bernard Durin, the revenue growth is a result of the introduction of new aquaculture products and the launch of several new retail outlets. The company also signed a signed a deal in June worth an estimated $1.6 million with a leading distributor in Canada and the US to export freshly farmed fish.
In the space of four years, Asmak has established extensive operations across the region that incorporate international standards to fulfill the requirements of the local and international clients. — (menareport.com)
