The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM)’s participation in the on-going FEREIN 2004, an international tourism exhibition, has received popular recognition by an Austrian Television channel, TW1.
The channel has categorized the emirate among the 10 best destinations out of the 42 countries participating in the event. The channel is covering daily the exhibition, held in Vienna, Austria, focusing on Dubai and its attractions, stated a press release.
DTCM Manager Overseas Promotions Khalifa Buamaim said that the channel is telecasting the event as a prime time program, which is being viewed by millions of audience across Austria and some parts of Europe. “TW1 specializes in featuring the top most travel and sports destination around the world. Their acknowledging Dubai among the 10 best global destinations is an achievement and vindicates the efforts of the emirate in wooing the Austrian travelers to Dubai,” he said.
DTCM promotions in the Austrian market have returned commendable results so far. “In the third quarter of 2003 the number of Austrian hotel establishment guests registered an increase of 43.12 percent compared to corresponding quarter of 2002,” concluded Buamaim. — (menareport.com)
