More than 200 guests from Saudi Umra companies, Umra specialists and the media corps attended an event at the Westin Hotel, Jeddah, organized by Al-Alamiah Internet Bab Al-Umra Division.
The company presented last season achievement awards to its clients of Saudi Umra operators. The company gave a comprehensive overview of the new marketing services that will be provided by Bab Al-Umra with the aim of fulfilling its vision of achieving true partnership with customers on the basis of mutual goals to promote Umra business facilities.
Announcing plans for the new season General Manager of Al-Alamiah Jeddah, Tarek Hefni said “Based on our success during the last Umra season, when Bab Al-Umra achieved more than 35 percent market share. With overall business growth of 55 percent from 2001 to 2002, we will be implementing aggressive new marketing strategies, on both classic and electronic levels”.
During the event it was announced that a new booking engine is to be launched in the first quarter in 2003. This will be for local Hajj pilgrims only to book their trips before the upcoming Hajj season.
