The Golden Sands, a luxury apartment block that has been touted as Bahrain’s largest residential building, was opened for business on September 15. Officially, Golden Sands will open its doors to the public on Friday. Having cost BD 12 million to build, it is likely to become a sought-after location in Manama’s rental market.
Conveniently located between Ashrafs and Al Baraka off the Old Palace Road, the five-floor complex is designed to provide for the needs of corporate clients. Three-bedroom apartments make up about three-quarters of the complex, with the remainder being two-bedroom units. The apartments feature marbled sitting, dining and family rooms, and servants’ quarter with separate bathroom facilities. The building has 10 elevators operating in a number of different locations. It also has an indoor parking area with designated parking space for each tenant.
The building features a fully computerized security system with tenant access cards, and that is complemented by a 20-person security and maintenance team.
Speaking to the Egyptian Gazette, Jolly Joseph, the project manager for Palace Constructions, which is the proprietor of Golden Sands, said the complex is unique inasmuch as until today there has not been such an exclusive residence so close to town.
A quarter of the apartments have already been rented, Joseph added, and Palace Constructions hopes to have leased the remainder within several months.
Rental prices range from BD 600 to BD 1,100 inclusive of electricity and municipal tax. – (Albawaba-MEBG)
