Bahrain and UAE lead Arab economic development

Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were ranked first and second, by a UN report, in terms of Arab economic development during 2005. According to Emirates News Agency, Bahrain was ranked first with 7 percent overall growth in economic development as the UAE was second with six percent.

 

The report said the UAE gross domestic produce (GDP) has advanced by US$ 15 billion during the past five years, as it had reached US$ 87.3 billion in 2005.
