Bank credit to Bahrain's private sector reached a record high in June with loans to construction and real estate increasing 50 per cent from a year earlier, according to the data published on the Central Bank website. Bank claims on the private sector reached a record BD2.99 billion (US$7.93 billion) in August, up 25 pe rcent from a year earlier.
