Bahrain's Ministry of Works and Housing has announced a new registration system for housing services. According to Bahrain Tribune, the Undersecretary, Mohammed Khalil, said the ministry would turn down any request for a housing unit from nationals whose salaries were over BD900 (US$2385).
According to the paper, he added the ministry had launched a Social Guarantee Fund for low-income citizens and allocated BD20 million budget.
